SEVEN WEDNESDAY LINKS V.VI

7 links:
(because 3 is too little, 5 is too neat and 10 is too many)

1.  Apparently it is elderflower season!  I was reading an acquaintance's blog and she was saying she just bought some elderflowers at the Ballard Farmer's Market.  I got to thinking on how there are so many plants that appear very close to: a. elderflowers and b. queen anne's lace.  Right?!?  I found a good article here on distinguishing what is elderflower and what is not.

2.  Because I'm on an elderflower kick, here is another great article from Seattle Magazine also on the topic of foraging for the little blooms.

3.  Eek, flower kick here… liked this little article on queen anne's lace.  I'm not going to try to grow it this year, instead I'll forage for it since it is all over! (hey! it's edible!)

4.  Read a pal of mine, Nicole Franzen's, 'Neutral Ground' interview over on 'Neutral Territory'.

5.  We harvest all sorts of little sea creatures from the bay when we go out to the family beach house on Hood Canal.  I'd like to try this recipe for clams!

6.  Do you love familiarity or novelty

7.  Refinery29's art department team portfolio.  Fresh, fun, quirky.  I'm loving it!

*above image is a polaroid I snapped this morning of the arrangement I made at the peony floral class me and my friend aubrey took at london plane with katherine of marigold and mint last night.
